Nagelsmann to Trim Squad After Greece Match

As the European Championship draws near, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann announced that he will not make any cuts to his provisional squad until after the team's final warm-up match against Greece on June 11. Nagelsmann explained that he wants to give all 36 players in the squad an opportunity to prove themselves before making any decisions.
The Germany squad has been in training since May 28 and has played two warm-up matches so far. They defeated Latvia 7-1 on June 2 and drew 1-1 with Denmark on June 6. Nagelsmann has been experimenting with different formations and lineups in these matches, and he is expected to continue to do so against Greece.
After the Greece match, Nagelsmann will have to cut his squad down to 26 players for the European Championship. The tournament will be held from June 14 to July 11, and Germany is one of the favorites to win the title.
